A wonderful sight. The first official picture of the entire #TEAMSOGB Special Olympics Great Britain squad finally together in Los Angeles for the World Games @LA2015, has been taken.

The Big Show, one of the World’s most famous WWE wrestlers, has also delivered this exclusive message for #TEAMSOGB athletes on the eve of the World Games.

Iconic gold swimmer Ellie Simmonds took a break from her hugely busy competition schedule to make and send on this video for Special Olympics GB athletes Matthew Allen and Jennifer Chesterman at the World Games - who listed Ellie as their sporting hero!  The two athletes were amazed!

The people of Calabasas, who have been so incredible, warm, gracious and hospitable, had one final treat last night for #TEAMSOGB’s athletes.  They dressed all athletes and coaches in Cowboy hats and scarves and provided the most incredible outdoor feast of barbecue food, music and entertainment.

Special Olympics helps to unlock the power and potential of each individual athlete with a learning disability.  It is allowing each athlete to thrive and strive towards their own personal best – whether that is a medal or the victory of being part of something as special a World Games.
