Athlete Leadership Manager
Diane's role with Special Olympic GB (SOGB) is to design and drive our Special Olympic GB Athlete Leadership Strategy.
Diane first became involved with Special Olympics GB through National Grid when she mentored and coached four athletes. The outcome was that they had the confidence and capability to deliver the opening speeches for the National Summer Games held in Leicester in 2009. She continues to provide support to these athletes.
Diane joined our National Development Office in September 2016, after a 36-year career with National Grid. Her most recent role within National Grid was Customer Strategy Manager.
Diane brings to our charity her skills in driving change, building relationships, project management, performance excellence and stakeholder engagement.
She is based at our National Volunteer office in Banbury. Diane lives in Warwick with her partner John. They have a son David who has cerebral palsy and who has recently moved from home to Worcester University.
