Young Athletes and Families Manager
Tom Kavanagh-Adams joined the team at Special Olympics GB to fulfil the role of Young Athletes and Families Manager in August 2015. This is a new post and Tom will have two main areas of responsibility: the introduction of the Young Athlete Programme (YAP) for athletes aged three to six years old and the growth of the Families Programme, to include a new and exciting development to focus on how we can better engage with the Siblings of our athletes and involve them in the organisation.
Tom has a second class BSc with Honours in Exercise, Nutrition and Health from Kingston University.
In his spare time Tom can usually be found cycling around Surrey where he lives. He has also undertaken a number of challenging rides including The Dragon Ride in Wales (200+km in one day), the Rapha Festive 500 (500km between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day) and a few trips into Europe (Paris and back twice and a return trip to Germany) and the French Alps.
