Postcode Places Trust Grants for 2025

Postcode Places Trust provides unrestricted funding for charities in the East of England who can apply for up to £25,000.

Your organisation's aims and objectives must match at least one of these funding themes:

  • Enabling participation in physical activity
  • Enabling participation in the arts 
  • Improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency 
  • Improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors
  • Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
  • Providing support to improve mental health 
  • Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality

Round 1: 24th March 9am to 31st March 12 noon
Round 2: 24th June 9am to 1st July 12 noon

CB and HH Taylor 1984 Trust

The CB & HH Taylor Trust provides support to charitable organisations serving the West Midlands county (Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull & Walsall). 

Trustees would like to support schemes intending to solve local problems and improve the quality of life within communities. Trustees are particularly interested in funding specific projects, rather than general running costs and the social welfare category covers people with disabilities. 

Trustees usually give grants between £500 and £2,000 and the application deadine is midday on 14th April.

Asda Foundation Young Futures Fund

Young Futures Fund is a new funding opportunity, with grants ranging from £500 to £1,000, to be used to specifically support young people aged from 13-21.

This grant is for groups which meet at least one of the following objectives:

  • Provide services that support, educate and empower.
  • Connect young people to their peers.
  • Support rehabilitation and recovery and provide shelter.
  • Deliver activities / programmes that improve physical health and wellbeing.

Suitable For
Charities and not-for-profit organisations that benefit local people aged 13-2

Funding Size
Grants ranging from £500 to £1,000

Application Deadline
13/03/2025 - The application window may close early if the total budget is reached

Sported Barclays Community Football Fund Access Grant and Deep Impact Grant – Nationwide

Funding for groups that are running football activities for underrepresented groups including young people with disabilities.

Access Grant: This fund is for new groups who have not already received a grant from the Barclays Community Football Fund. Value: £500.

Disability Football Deep Impact Grant: Value: £2000 - £5000. For groups that provide inclusive football opportunities and create impactful change for young disabled people. Please be aware that you must be an existing grantee who have already received a £500 Access Grant first.

Waitrose Community Matters Grants – Nationwide

This grant offers a share of £1000 between three local organisations. The proportion of that share is decided by store customers placing a token in a voting box after their shop.

Persimmon Homes Community Champions 2023 – Nationwide

Each of our 30 offices across the UK makes a donation of up to £6,000 every quarter to local organisations.

Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation – Nationwide  

This scheme offers grants of up to £2500. You will need to be nominated by either a society member or member of their staff. The building society have branches across the UK, so it is worth checking who you might know, as it is a simple nomination form that supports various projects and causes.

There are 4 deadlines per year when all nominations will be reviewed by Trustees: 31st March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December

The Northumberland Village Homes Trust Fund - Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley

The trust are encouraging Programmes in these geographic areas to apply for funding between £750 and £5,000. Whilst the fund states that they work to a relieve poverty, distress, and sickness amongst children and young people under the age of 21, we have confirmed that this age group is not a strict criteria and the fund would still welcome applications from our programmes.

Tesco Stronger Starts Grant – Nationwide

Grants of up to £1,500 are available from the Tesco Stronger Starts Fund. Whilst Tesco are currently keen to look at projects that overcome food insecurity, we have confirmed that applications are still open to all local good causes. A detailed guide on how to apply can be found below:

Project Swish – Nationwide

A quick way to apply for funding between £300 and £10,000, for applications that bring people together, improve places and spaces or help more people reach their potential.

Hastings Direct Community Fund – Locations near Hastings Direct Offices

The LTA Open Court Programme – Nationwide

The programme offers a package of support and equipment to increase opportunities for disabled people through tennis. You can learn more about what they provide – HERE

Masonic Chairtable Foundation - Children and Young People Grants Programme (SEND)

Grants are available for local and national charities in England and Wales who are working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Sport England - Movement Fund

Grants and other resources are available for community groups, local sports clubs and grassroots organisations across England with ideas of how to tackle inequalities and help get more people active.

  • Amount: £300 to £15,000
