Special Olympics Great Britain is currently looking to recruit nine National Sports Advisors for the following core sports:

  • Athletics
  • Alpine Skiing
  • Badminton
  • Basketball
  • Boccia
  • Gymnastics (artistic and rhythmic)
  • Swimming
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis

The National Sports Advisors role is vital for achieving the objectives outlined in our strategy, "Inclusion in Action," which focuses on:

  • Enhancing our delivery model
  • Enhancing volunteer development opportunities and creating different volunteer pathways for those wanting to support in various ways
  • Growing participation
  • Evolving the competition and sport framework

Committee Member – Treasurer

Special Olympics North West Region

About:

This exciting opportunity will allow you to be part of shaping the landscape of sport for people with an intellectual disability across the North West Region.

Acting as the Regional Treasurer, you will support the local clubs and partners in accessing Special Olympics GB funds from a regional perspective, as well as liaising with Special Olympics national office where appropriate in financial functions and reporting where needed. You will operate alongside the Special Olympics North West regional committee members to help sustain and develop the wonderful work that happens across the North West and provide valuable ideas to help the region to be financially sustainable.

Head Coach (Region) – multiple sports vacancies

Special Olympics Yorkshire & Humberside (Region)

About:
There are currently vacancies in head coach roles in the Yorkshire & Humberside region in Football, Indoor Bowls, Athletics and Swimming. 

Acting as the head coach, you will lead the delivery of sessions in these sports and support in general inclusive activity, actively seeking opportunities for athletes to take part and compete in their respective sport. You will work closely with the wider Special Olympics GB volunteer family in the region to support the provision of this sport and adhere to Special Olympics GB code of conduct and values in practice.

Special Olympics Leicestershire & Rutland

About:

This exciting opportunity will allow you to be part of shaping the landscape of sport for people with an intellectual disability across Leicestershire and Rutland!

Acting as the programmes treasurer, you will have a real handle on the financial stability and sustainability of the club. You will work with the Main Contact of the club to provide general financial oversight, whilst also looking for external funding and fundraising opportunities.

You will operate alongside other club volunteers to help sustain and develop the wonderful work that Special Olympics does in Leicestershire and Rutland.
