About:
This exciting opportunity will allow you to be part of the amazing team delivering boccia activity in Special Olympics Sutton Coldfield.
Acting as the Assistant Coach, you will support Head Coach in delivering boccia sessions for athletes in a supportive, safe and welcoming environment.
The individual should have a good knowledge of boccia rules – support and resources are available to achieve this where needed.
The individual must be able to commit to 2 hours weekly training sessions on a Thursday evening (6pm - 8pm) at the club’s location in Sutton Coldfield.
If successful, there could be an opportunity to progress to head coach in future and access Special Olympics GB volunteer development opportunities and support.
You will be required to register as a Special Olympics GB volunteer and will be supported to obtain a free DBS check to undertake this activity.

Head Coach (Region) – multiple sports vacancies

About:
There are currently vacancies in head coach roles in the Yorkshire & Humberside region in Football, Indoor Bowls, Athletics and Swimming.
Acting as the head coach, you will lead the delivery of sessions in these sports and support in general inclusive activity, actively seeking opportunities for athletes to take part and compete in their respective sport. You will work closely with the wider Special Olympics GB volunteer family in the region to support the provision of this sport and adhere to Special Olympics GB code of conduct and values in practice.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to be part of shaping the landscape of sport for people with an intellectual disability across Leicestershire and Rutland!
Acting as the programmes treasurer, you will have a real handle on the financial stability and sustainability of the club. You will work with the Main Contact of the club to provide general financial oversight, whilst also looking for external funding and fundraising opportunities.
You will operate alongside other club volunteers to help sustain and develop the wonderful work that Special Olympics does in Leicestershire and Rutland.
