Jennifer Lee

A passionate figure skater and equestrian athlete from South Craven, has made significant strides both in sports and as a member of Special Olympics GB’s Athlete Leadership Team. Her sporting journey includes competing in the National Summer Games in Sheffield, where she secured 1st place in equestrian, and representing Great Britain in the World Winter Games 2017, where she placed 4th in figure skating. Recently, she excelled at the National Winter Games 2024, earning a first-place finish in pairs and a second-place finish in freestyle.

Jennifer is a staunch advocate for Athlete Leadership, emphasizing its role in fostering inclusion and skill-building for athletes with disabilities. She hopes to be a voice for other athletes, helping them express their ideas and develop confidence. Her long-term ambition is to continue working towards qualifying for the next World Winter Games and expanding skating opportunities for athletes with disabilities. She also dreams of joining Disney on Ice, inspired by her coach, Adrian Jack, who has been her role model throughout her skating career.

In her personal life, Jennifer works at McDonald's as a customer care representative. Her favorite pastimes include figure skating, horse riding, meeting friends, cuddling her cats, and dancing, particularly practicing routines like the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' Thunderstruck performance. Jennifer’s determination, coupled with her enthusiasm for community and sport, makes her an inspiring member of the Athlete Leadership Team.
