Warren, who lives near Southampton, got involved in Special Olympics Great Britain through his passion for golf and the sport has helped transform his life, to the point that he now runs his own accredited club.

Having started playing as a 10-year-old, Warren went on to win a gold medal in golf at the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi in 2019. Prior to this, he set-up Warren Clark Golfing Dreams in 2016, which became a registered charity in 2018.

Run by Warren, it delivers S.N.A.G Golf (Starting New at Golf) and Tri-Golf sessions to disabled and disadvantaged individuals and groups. In-keeping with the work of Special Olympics, it aims to make a difference to lives of its participants, encouraging them to be socially active and challenge themselves.

His work has introduced more than 15,000 disabled and disadvantaged people to golf but he has big ambitions for the future, including the development of a new inclusive multisport facility at Horne Park Golf Club.

He was part of the first cohort of Special Olympics GB Athlete Leaders and wants to use his skills, developed through the training and his day-to-day work, to support other athletes in the Special Olympics movement.
